This paper examines how architect and media artist Almendra Díaz’s project Espectro Derivas employs augmented reality to investigate and reconfigure industrial ruins in Chile. Through techniques such as photogrammetry, Díaz not only revitalises the industrial past but also cultivates new narratives by merging this heritage with digital technology. The research explores the relationship between space, the body, and memory, and how these elements intertwine to generate an aesthetic and reflective experience concerning industrial heritage, as well as its impact on contemporary culture. In this regard, specific cases such as the former Enacar in Lota and the Polpaico building in Coronel are analysed, illustrating how these sites are transformed into spaces of active memory through technology.
