The audio-visual anthropology has worked the topic of the Mapuche representation in Chile from the construction of the images and the analysis of these as documents. This article tries to propose a look on an actor who has been absent in these investigations: the spectator. The aim is to put in view the perception that the spectators of a Mapuche community have about the representation that the audio-visual support have make of them. For this a selection of videos were showed for them, and then across personal and grupal interviews, was gathered their perception on them.
